Casino Royale with Cheese
Hubby and I went to see Casino Royale this past weekend and were sorely disappointed. We even went into the movie KNOWING that it was the movie that showed us how Bond became Bond. Too much mushy-gushy romance, the Aston Martin had no gadgets (aside from extra compartments and a high-tech first aid kit), BOND had no freakin' gadgets, no good chase scenes, and most of the movie was around a stinkin' poker table. Not my idea of a good Bond flick. *sigh* I feel sorry for Daniel Craig, having this be his first Bond movie. Knowing how low-tech the first book probably was, I'm VERY surprised that they chose to go ahead and do it. I would have expected at least modifications so that there were at least some halfway decent gadgets, with or without Q. Oh well. Hopefully the next one will be better.
